Today Caleb's preschool class went on a field trip to a local fire station, and to Judah's delight, siblings were invited to come along. Firetrucks, firefighters and anything having to do with putting out fires fascinates the boys, so this was a much anticipated day. We toured their kitchen and workout facilities and, of course, went inside one of the engines. Hands down best part according to Caleb was holding the water hose and squirting the water. Judah probably would say the same thing, but he was too busy telling me about being a firefighter to say much else. And in true Caleb fashion, he was the only kid to stick his finger in a piece of retirement cake that happened to be out in the kitchen from the retirement party of a firefighter the night before. Firefighter Tom thought that was pretty funny. I, on the other hand, shouldn't have been surprised as Caleb has the biggest sweet tooth! A fun filled day was complete with a trip to a local park for snack and play. Now I just have to think of some different ways the boys can "put out" fires around the house. My sofa has already been converted into a fire engine!
