I'm sure there have been and will be more moments in life when I'll be proud, but this past weekend I was one proud sister. Kellen and I flew out to Nashville for my little brother's graduation from dental school. Four years of hard work and dedication walked across the stage on Saturday. It was such a great moment! So glad I could be there. Of course, Sammy will always be that kid that chased me around the house with a booger on the end of his finger or that brother that put his finger as close to my face as he could get and say, "I'm not touching you". Now he's a doctor! How far he's come.
It was also great just to visit with Sam and Ashly and my cutest niece Avril. We celebrated her 1st birthday and in true one year old fashion, the cake smash was priceless. So funny how a kid's face can totally light up at the first bite of cake. She licked that frosting like a champ!
And even though Kellen didn't know it, he met his cousin Avril for the first time. I have such sweet memories growing up with my cousins close by. Since Kellen and Brayden are just 3 weeks apart, I'm sure they will be more like brothers that cousins. Hopefully we'll get to spend lots of time with Avril too as she grows. She's such a little lady and so easy going. She's seriously addicted to her little snacks and definitely has daddy wrapped around her little finger.
