Annual Pumpkin Patch Trip

Every year we search out a new pumpkin patch to visit to get that perfect pumpkin. This pumpkin won't be sitting out on the front porch either. Our pumpkin will become soup, bread, pancakes, cookies, pie and new this year scones! And we can't forget the seeds, which Caleb says must be cinnamon sugared. So this year we left the valley behind to head north to a family farm that boasted a real life pumpkin patch, meaning the pumpkins were literally still on the vines ready for you to cut off. Granmama, Aunt Rachel, Uncle Mike and cousin Brayden made the trek with us as well. Not only was it cold, but rainy, which despite feeling frozen was a nice retreat from sun, sun and more sun. We brought home our monster pumpkin, roasted it and now have enough pumpkin for ten families.
