It's February! The shortest month of the year and I think we've manged to pack it full already! Not quite sure how that happened, but there's a very full calendar downstairs that usually means it's all going to be a big blur come March. But in the midst of all that we're doing, I've decided to take on a little project/challenge. I want to capture one moment a day that makes me smile, or laugh, or takes my breath away, or just because....
I have no special reason for doing this. Just a little something I have been wanting to do for a while. There have been too many times that I wished I had my camera handy or wasn't quick enough pulling out my phone to get that one crazy, silly, funny, sweet, or perfect moment on film.
So I'm going to try this, to post that one moment every day for one month. And lucky me, February is the shortest month of the year.
And here's the first picture that made me smile today.
I did a load of laundry and told Kellen that I would be washing his Mimi, our version of a blankey. He's usually pretty excited to give Mimi a bath, but for some reason this morning he wasn't too thrilled his beloved blanket would be getting washed. I threw Mimi in anyway and the crying began. He calmed down after a few minutes and I thought was over it until I made the mistake of asking him if he wanted to put Mimi in the dryer. Yea, dumb move because it started the tears rolling again. I walked away to get everyone ready for the days activities and when I went looking for this sweet little boy, this is where I found him, on his knees watching his blanket tumble and toss about. So precious, so innocent, so glad I took the picture!
