We had a bit of a cold spell last month and a few days of rain, but it's been blue skies and sunshine ever since. But I like to give the boys a little taste of winter if I can. So we've been busy making snow dough and snowmen.
It all was so fun, I had to share.
To build your very own snow man in the desert, start with water balloons. We made two snowmen so that we could do some science observations. So six water balloons went into the freezer.
The next morning, the boys peeled off the balloons and had some pretty good looking "snowballs"
Then the stacking began! Salt was our magic glue that kept these guys from falling. If any thing the boys learned how cold it would be if they really were playing in the snow.

Caleb got cold!

And here's our lovely little fellas! Snowman A will stay inside while snowman B heads outdoors. Who will melt faster? The boys had to predict and observe.

Snowman A

Snowman B

And the faster melting snowman? Inside guy, snowman A, melted the fastest but Snowman B didn't last that much longer.

Going...

Going....
|
Gone!
