Our Garden Project

How does your garden grow? Well, we're getting ready to find out. We just finished up our unit study of animal habitats and the boys are so pumped to dive into plants and how they grow. We're welcoming spring with this study and planting a very small garden. We'll also start a compost bin so this mama and her boys can watch our garbage become dirt. Stay tuned for that. And what did our precious boys choose for our little garden? After scanning rows of tomatoes and peppers, me pushing the strawberry plant, and trying to figure out what would survive the summer, the boys settled on watermelon and cantaloupe seeds. C'mon no takers on the strawberries? Oh well, away we go...
All the boys plants their seeds in starter pots. Hopefully, we'll have a few strong seedlings to plant in our garden.
