So a nice cold has ripped through the family and some not fun stuff has been keeping me on my knees these days. Makes getting to the computer the last thing on the to do list. But school does go on despite all that life throws at you. I've also decided that rather than post every Monday about Missionary Monday, I'll just leave it to once or twice a month. I just have to catch up though. We finished up learning about missions in Latin American countries and thoroughly immersing ourselves in the culture. We prayed for our missionary friends, Josh and Jennie Menold and family, in Dominican Republic. This wonderful family of 7, helps run a school in the Dominican Republic and hosts short term medical teams and others who come to help at the school. I have a special place for the Menolds since I was roommates with Jennie and know her heart. Their blog, www.themenoldminutes.com has been such an incredible tool to bring the reality of how hard missions work is into our home. The boys love seeing pictures.
And how do we wrap up our month long venture into Latin America? With a homemade pinata, of course. Messy, messy fun!
Mayah said it looks like one of the "angry birds"! LOL! It cracks me up that she knows what one is and I do not! Fun times in the Walston home!!!!!
