As desert dwellers, the only snow we see is in pictures or on the news. (Or the ones you make like the boys' Borax snowflakes we have had hanging in our kitchen since December. Fun experiment/craft by the way. Lots of "recipes" online if you're snow deprived too.) So when a trip to Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon presented itself, we jumped on it. It didn't snow while we were there, but the crisp mountain air and the patches of snow on the ground were well the worth the trip. And the Grand Canyon! Oh my! John and I have been before, but this trip was different with three little boys.... In Caleb's words, "This is an adventure!" And I will add, I loved wearing a sweater and a coat!
